For as long as I can remember, I have made things, and I have saved and re-purposed things. I can’t remember a time when I did not think of myself as an artist. Recently, I turned a lifelong passion for food, health, & helping people with nutrition into a second career by enrolling in the world’s foremost nutrition school. You can read about that adventure at MollieSong, my other WordPress site.
I keep wanting to share art stuff with my blogging friends; but it just doesn’t seem to fit with my health coaching theme. Thus, this new site came about.
I am a fine art painter and all-around creative person. I’ve never had a lot of disposable income to throw at my many creative ideas, so I’ve learned to use what I can find. Did you know that people actually buy paints in colors like magenta to use on the walls of their homes? Then, when they put a bit on a wall, they say, “holy cow! I didn’t realize it would be so…bright!” Then, they send the paint to the Larimer County Recycle Center, where I come and collect it. I add it to the hundred or so other cans of paint in my studio and turn it into art.
You can see more of my paintings at freemanartgallery.com. My husband, Scott Freeman, shares this website with me.
